The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off of a tough loss at Texas A&M, in front of over 102,000 people on national television. They are going to be hungry to show that they are different than the typical “Kentucky Football” team.
Kentucky comes into this game with only one loss. After the loss Georgia suffered to LSU Saturday, The Wildcats have a chance to get on top of the SEC East. The bye week has us one game behind, but we own the tie breaker with Florida. This means if we win Saturday we are tied for 1st place in the SEC East with Georgia. Can we take a second and let that sink in?
After Georgia’s bye week this week, they face Florida. So one of those two teams will have a second loss. If it’s Georgia and we beat Vandy and Missouri, we are 1st in the SEC East going into the Georgia game.
Can I stop to remind you that we are talking about Kentucky Football?
On to Vanderbilt now, they are 3-4 for the season. They allowed Florida to rush for 292 yards against them, Benny Snell and Terry Wilson are going to put up big numbers Saturday. Vanderbilt on average for the year gives up 211 rushing yards per game.
Vanderbilt is a pretty poor defensive team overall, they allow 424 yards per game and 26 points per game. Josh Allen is going to have a huge game, I don’t see a guy on their line that can contain him. They may double team him but that will leave opportunities for other guys.
I am predicting a 35-10 easy victory for the Cats.
