Full Game Recap: Kentucky vs Vanderbilt

It wasn’t a pretty game but we survived. Saturday night we defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 14-7 at Kroger Field.

Terry Wilson only completed 3 passes the entire game, for a measly 18 yards. He added 91 yards on the ground but we have to have an option to throw the ball against Missouri and Georgia.

We had two big penalties that took away big plays. Derrick Baity snagged an interception but it was flagged saying their was holding by him before the catch. The refs got that one wrong. Lynn Bowden ran a kick return back but it was brought back because of holding.

Benny Snell was a monster in the second half. He finished with 169 rushing yards and a touchdown. He averaged 5.3 yards per carry. Hopefully he is t too banged up. He injured his knee in the 3rd quarter, we can’t afford to lose him, even for a game.

Josh Allen was in Kyle Shurmur’s face all night. He finished with 8 tackles and 2 sacks, but also had pressure on the quarterback all night.

We are 6-1, we are bowl eligible, most importantly we are tied for 1st place in the SEC East!
