NEW BRACKET: 1-Seed Kentucky Paired With 2-Seed Duke

Let’s just go with the bracket projections yesterday from NCAA.com. NEW BRACKET: Kentucky Projected As 1-Seed In Louisville. I am not a fan of this latest bracket projection from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.

The latest projections has Kentucky playing in the South Region as the 1-seed. That’s great. That would put our regional games in Louisville. The problem is that we are paired in the region with Duke as our 2-seed. I don’t want to be paired with Duke. Let us wait that game out until the Final Four or the Championship.

The current one seeds:

  • Virginia
  • Kentucky
  • Gonzaga
  • North Carolina

I thought that Gonzaga would fall after their embarrassing loss to Saint Mary’s last night, but that didn’t happen.

The teams projected in the South Region with Kentucky:

  1. Kentucky
  2. Duke
  3. Michigan
  4. Kansas State
  5. Virginia Tech
  6. Mississippi State
  7. Iowa State
  8. VCU
  9. Iowa
  10. Seton Hall
  11. NC State/Temple
  12. Saint Mary’s
  13. Vermont
  14. Old Dominion
  15. Gardner-Webb
  16. Sam Houston State
