Kentucky’s Chances With The 5th Ranked Prospect Looks Better

The recruitment of RJ Hampton is looking more promising for Kentucky.

RJ Hampton had narrowed his list of colleges to four. Previously his list was five, but TCU has dropped from the list.

Hampton had said before that he would pay close attention to Tre Jones’ situation at Duke. Today, Duke announced that Tre Jones is staying for another season at Duke.

The remaining schools in contention are Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, and Memphis.

This could knock Duke out of the running. With the issues at Kansas I would suspect that hurts them some as well.

If it comes down to Kentucky and Memphis, I really need Calipari to beat Penny Hardaway.

Hampton’s father told Adam Zagoria that the list may be cut to three soon and there’s still a strong option for a 2019 reclassification.

Hampton ranks as the 5th overall recruit in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. The 6-foot-4 point guard ranks as the #1 overall recruit in Texas.
