Former Wildcat Named Head Coach Of The Lakers

The Lakers have finally filled their Head Coach vacancy. The historic franchise has named former Kentucky Wildcat, Frank Vogel, as their head coach.

Vogel transferred to the Kentucky basketball team from Juniata. He was originally a student manager for the Kentucky team before Rick Pitino let him play.

His NBA career began with Rick Pitino, in Boston. Eventually he was named an assistant in Boston. His NBA career didn’t fail the way Pitino’s did. Vogel was the head coach of the Pacers for six seasons and then Orlando for two seasons.

Good luck in Los Angeles!
